Rise Up is located in the Secwepemc territory within the unceded traditional lands of the Secwepemc Nation.
Rise Up is an Indigenous run and directed Non Profit organization based out of Salmon Arm BC Canada. Our organization arose to address gaps in services for Indigenous children, youth and families. Rise Up provides holistic programs designed to empower Indigenous people on their path to wellness. Mentorship, family support, land stewardship and outdoor learning camps are primary areas of focus. We believe that our strength and power as Indigenous people comes from our culture. We honour the teachings of the medicine wheel and ensure that all of our programs address the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual parts of each individual. We provide Indigenous programs by Indigenous facilitators for Indigenous participants. Our board of directors is 100% Indigenous and includes 3 knowledge keepers.
